Shannan Rae Cornelius, age 28, of Lake Station, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2016. She was born on November 12, 1987 in Hammond, Indiana. Shannan played softball in Lake Station leagues her whole life. Her greatest joy in life was her daughters and she will always be remembered as a dedicated mother.

Shannan is survived by her parents, Dawn and Robert Repko; daughters, Kilee and Karlee Hite; brother, Jason (fiancée Danielle Stover) Arseneau, and his children, Jason, Ryan, Brently and Hunter Arseneau; sister, Chasitty (fiancé Ricky Olson) Arseneau, and her children, Mariah and Adalyn Olson; brother, Kyle Cornelius and his daughter, Khloe Cornelius; grandmother, Sharon Murray; uncles, David Repko and Jason (Lupe) Repko.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Shannan's name are preferred to the family.

Memorial visitation for Shannan will take place Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Lake Station VFW Post # 9323, 2750 Central Avenue, Lake Station from 1:00 pm until 12:00 am.
