Shareen Barnack:

Shareen Barnack (Crocker), age 84, passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2024. She was a loving sister, aunt, stepmother and 2nd mom to many.Shareen is survived by her brother Charles Crocker (Eileen) and sister Linda Palmateer (Willard).

Shareen was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Barnack, her father and mother (Charles and Catherine), two brothers, Gerald (Faye) and Douglas (Shirley), three sisters JoAnn (Joseph) Barbara (Thomas), and Susan Jane.

A graduate of the class of 1960 from River Forest High School in New Chicago. She worked at the First Federal of Lake Station, Shaver Chevrolet, and for over 30 years at JCPenney's. Shareen was a lifelong member of United Presbyterian Church in Lake Station.

Shareen was a loving, caring and special woman that gave her heart to many. She volunteered continuous hours at her assisted living facility Rittenhouse in Portage. She loved Bingo, games, and sharing her love of dogs (giving them many treats), and a lifelong Notre Dame fan. She will be genuinely missed!

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 12:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana. A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024, from 10:00 am-12:00pm, also at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel. For more information call (219) 942-2109
