Sharon L Bodish

Sharon L. Bodish (nee Sczepankiewicz), age 79 of Wheeler, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 4, 2022. She was born December 1,1943 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Matthew and Jean (nee Pyclik) Sczepankiewicz. Sharon was a 1962 South Bend, Washington High School graduate and that year she married Frank Bodish, the love of her life, on August 4, 1962, and they spent 60 wonderful years together. Sharon was a member of Saint Bridget Catholic Church in Hobart and dedicated her life to her family. She was an avid rummage sale queen and enjoyed cooking, gardening, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. Sharon will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Frank S. Bodish; three sons, Frank M. Bodish of Seattle, Samuel Bodish of Wheeler, and Johnnie (Mellissa) Bodish of Valparaiso; three grandchildren, Samantha (Marty) Barns, Tessa Bodish, and Sarah Bodish: three great grandchildren, Tommy. Byrne and Carter; one brother and many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation for Sharon will be held Wednesday, September 7, 2022, from 10am – 12 pm, at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road Hobart, IN. The Rite of Christian Burial will begin with 12 pm prayers at the funeral home then processing to St. Bridget's Catholic Church, 107 Main Street Hobart, Indiana 46342 for 12:30 pm Mass, with Rev. Dominic V. Bertino officiating. Burial will take place at Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso. For more information, please call (219) 942-2109.
