Sharon D. Long

Sharon D. Long, age 77, of Hobart, passed away Sunday July 2, 2023, at her son's home with her family at her side. She was born June 13, 1946, in Greenville, Kentucky to the late D W and Carrie (Walker) Hendricks. Sharon was a bartender that worked at several Hobart area Bars; including Cressmore Country Club, Hobart VFW, New Chicago American Legion Post #454, and Main Street Station. Sharon's home always had an open-door policy for her sons friends and they considered her a second mom.

Sharon is survived by three children, Thomas (Mary) Long II, Mark (Jennifer) Long, and Marty Jamison all of Hobart; four grandchildren, Brittany, Mark, Allen, and Jake; four siblings, Wanda Weatherford, Jackie (Gale) Hendrix, Susan Wherry, and David (Tammy) Hendricks; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Thomas Long.

Sharon will be cremated with a Celebration of Life at a later date.

Her services were entrusted Rees Funeral Home 600 W. Old Ridge Road Hobart, Indiana.
