Sharon M. McDonald, age 63, of Lake Station, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2013 at St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart. Sharon was a lifelong Lake Station resident and graduate of East Gary Edison High School in 1967. She was employed as a certified nursing assistant. Sharon was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by 3 children: Phillip (Kerry) Neiswinger of Chesterton, Kimberly Piercy of North Carolina and Dwayne (Gina) Neiswinger of Lake Station, parents, Robert "Bud" & Irma McDonald, 2 brothers, Gary "Butch" McDonald and Scott (Amy) McDonald, all of Lake Station, 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Michael McDonald and grandson, Kyle Neiswinger.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel, 3781 Central Ave., Lake Station, with Rev. Dr. Mark L. Hostetler officiating.
