Sharon Kay Riggers

Age 64, La Crosse passed away Friday, January 10, 2025. She was born on April 20, 1960, the daughter of the late Fredrick and Elsie Riggers. She graduated from LCRA as a member of the class of 1978.  Sharon, an individual with special needs, spent 37 yrs. working at Arch Bridges before retiring in March 2020. Elvis Presley held a special place in her heart, and she took great pleasure in dancing to Jail House Rock with Sarah. She enjoyed various activities including riding in the car, looking at the lake, dancing, and partying, as well as crafts and country music, particularly the works of Loretta Lynn and Conway Twitty. Her vacations with her sister Elaine and friend Connie were also a source of great joy. Furthermore, she was fond of writing letters and jotting down short notes. Sharon occupied a unique position in numerous people's lives, and she will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her loving siblings, two brothers, Sherman (Janet) Riggers and Dennis (Joy) Riggers; three sisters, Ruth Wallace, Rita (Perry) LaLonde and Elaine Castelli; numerous nieces and nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews and many other loving family members and friends.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Rolan Riggers; sisters Marabell Majka and Mae Higgins.

A funeral service will be held Friday, January 17, 2025, at 1:00 pm with Chaplain Craig Forwalter officiating at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana 46342. Visitation will also be held Friday, January 17, 2025, from 11:00 am until the time of service also at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel .
