Sharon M. York, age 74, of Griffith passed away Thursday June 20, 2019 at Porter Regional Hospital in Valparaiso.  Sharon was born May 25, 1945 in El Central, CA to the late George and Elnora (Bowling) Helton.  She was a self-employed medical transcriptionist prior to her retirement.  Sharon enjoyed spending time at the Maria Reiner Senior Center in Hobart.

Sharon is survived by her two children, Kevin (Liz) Erler of Hobart and Kimberly (Keith) Board of Buckley, WA; three grandchildren, Christi Hopkins, Jacob Board, Kasey (Cassidy) Board; and many extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother.
