Shawn K. Carlotta, age 52, of Lake Station, formerly of Merrillville passed away Saturday, June 24, 2017. She was born June 20, 1965 in East Chicago, Indiana to John L. and the late Zondra K. (nee LaBelle) Carlotta. Shawn was a former kitchen manager at Shoney's Restaurant and a Merrillville High School graduate. Shawn enjoyed; rock-n-roll music, darts, gardening, and her dogs. She will be remembered as a loving; daughter, sister, aunt and friend.

Shawn is survived by her father, John L. Carlotta of Lake Station, three sisters, Diana L. Carlotta of Crown Point, Cynthia Carlotta of Portage and Tammy Carlotta of Lake Station; brother, Tom Willison of Lake Station; five nephews, Joseph T. Willison, Ricardo (Victoria) and Kyle Carlotta, Nicolas Merced and Michael Wood; two nieces, Justine Carlotta and Kaitlin (Quinn) Salinas- Parks; many great nieces and nephews and many other loving family members and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Zondra K. Carlotta, maternal- grandmother, Clevious LaBelle, maternal- great-grandmother, Arbrie Smoot; paternal- grandmother, Wava Kohler, paternal- grandfather, John S. Carlotta and nephew Thomas Anthony Wood.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel 5341 Central Avenue Portage, Indiana 46368 with Rev. John Francis officiating.
