Shirley A. "Sherry" Davis

Age 78 passed away March 23, 2021 at her home. She was born on December 25,1942 in Gary, Indiana to the late John and Martha (nee Patterson) Meeks. Sherry retired from US Steel where she worked as a crane operator. Shirley was a member of Assembly Church of God in Portage. She loved her dogs, Nascar and watching the Bears. She enjoyed collecting elephants and other figurines. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Sherry is survived by her three children, Robin (Eddie) Naymon of Valparaiso, Michael (Mary) Davis of Lake Station and Michelle (Mark) Newcomb of Portage; grandchildren, Charlie Hall, Christie Hall, Eddie Naymon, Aubrey Naymon, Justin Newcomb, Megan Newcomb, Corey Davis, and Tyler Davis; great grandchildren, Alicia Hall, Victoria Krueger, Bradley Lach, London Lach, Andrea Hall, Lucus Hall, Madison Newcomb, Corey Davis Jr, Aizen Davis and Jade Davis; great-great-grandchild, Amariah Hall; three sisters, Carolyn Rael of Hobart, Susie Gilmore of New Chicago and Tommie Rehfeldt of Bridgeport, Ohio; significant other, Donnie Sommer, many nieces and nephews and other loving family members and friends.
