Shirley L. Dault, age 89 of Portage passed away Monday July 4, 2011. She was born on May 21, 1922 in Quincy, Illinois to the late Alloy and Helen Adams. She was formerly of Lake Station and Miller and volunteered her time at Saint Mary Medical Center as a Pink Lady. She loved cooking, sewing, reading, and working crossword puzzles. Shirley will be remembered by her family as a wonderful and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by 4 daughters, Pamela Dault of Portage, IN; Tina (Joe) Fussell of Valparaiso, IN; Robin (George) Costley of Indianapolis, IN; Beth (Phil) DeKoker of Lansing, IL; 6 grandchildren, Joshua and Christopher Costley, Sarah McVeigh, Joanna Fussell, Matthew and Rebecca DeKoker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Dault, and 1 daughter, Rebecca Dault.

Funeral services are Thursday, July 7, 2011 beginning with 10 a.m. prayers at Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel, 3781 Central Ave., Lake Station and proceeding to St Francis Xavier Church, for a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial with Rev. Eduardo Malagon officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Portage. Visitation is Thursday just prior to the service from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel.
