Shirley Rich

Shirley Ann Rich, age 85 of Hobart passed away Wednesday July 5, 2023. She was born on April 18, 1938, in Southern Illinois to the late Della and Anna Enlow. On February 28, 1957, she married Freddie Rich, Sr. in Michigan. Shirley was a member of the Hobart Moose Lodge and enjoyed sewing and doing puzzles. She dedicated her life to taking care of her family and will be remembered for the divinity she would make at Christmas time and her homemade noodles.

She is survived by her sons, Freddie (Sheila) Rich, Jr., Michael (Betsy) Rich, Larry (Karen) Rich; 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Freddie Rich, Sr.; son, Barton Rich; and her parents, Della and Anna Enlow.

A chapel service will take place Monday, July 10, 2023, at 10:00 am directly at Graceland Cemetery in Valparaiso.
