Obituary
SHIRLEY ANN SIKORA, age 79, of Hobart, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at St. Mary Medical Center. She was born in Wichita, KS on January 8, 1937 to the late Joe and Marie Buckley. Shirley loved her family dearly and will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Shirley is survived by her son, Jim J. (Judy) Sikora of Hobart; 2 daughters, Ann M. (Ron) Via of Howard City, MI and Lois S. (Chris) Chamberlain of Conover, NC; 7 grandchildren, Jeremy Krueger, Matthew (Emilie) Krueger, Jennifer Sikora, Jamie (Peter) Carleton, , Brittany Via, Anthony Via, and Connor Chamberlain; 6 great grandchildren, Patience, Alexander, Lennox, Destiny, Leeland, and Oliver, brother, Jerry (Christeen) Buckley of Zephyrhills, FL.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, George Sikora; and sister, May Albrecht.
A funeral service for Shirley will be Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart, with Rev. Charles R. Strietelmeier officiating. Burial will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, May 27, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, (219) 942-2109 or go online at www.reesfuneralhomes.com.
