Age 92, of Hobart, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2021n at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 28, 1928 in Hobart, Indiana to the late George and Irene (nee McKenzie) King. On September 11, 1949 she married the love of her life the late Frank Vedope in Hobart, Indiana. She was a former pink lady at St. Mary's Medical Center and volunteered at the Senior Center, and Robinson Lake in Hobart. She enjoyed reading in her spare time and was a member of a book club. Shirley will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend.

Shirley is survived by her children; Paul (Jody) Vedope, Garry Vedope and Carol (Dale) Wheeler; grandson, Justin (Jennifer) Wheeler and   two great- grandchildren, Timothy and Emily Wheeler and many other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Vedope; her parents; brother, Charles King and two sisters, Georgia Roush, and Jean Smith.

In lieu of flowers donations in Shirley's memory made to VNA Hospice, 501 Marquette Street, Valparaiso, Indiana would be appreciated.
