Shirley R. Wates
(Nee Breneman),age 74 of Valparaiso, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at Life Care Center, with her loving family by her side. Shirley was born in Paris, Illinois on March 28,1937 to the late Francis and Mary Breneman. Shirley will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and sister. Shirley is survived by 4 daughters; Cheryl Molina of Valparaiso, Roben (Peter) Gottschlich of Valparaiso, April Keene of Portage and Tina Huff of Valparaiso, 3 sons; Charles Paul of Hammond, Rick Paul and Dennis McCollum both of Hobart, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren great-great grandchildren 2 brothers; James (Judy) Breneman of Valparaiso, and Donald (Nancy) Breneman of Tennessee, and sister Carol (Harry) Shepherd of Indiana many nieces and nephews and other loving family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, loving husband; Marshall Wates, brother, Clarence Breneman, and sister Beverly Nelson.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 13,2011 at 11:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ, 1625 Service St. Lake Station, Indiana 46405. Visitation will be held Friday, August 12,2011 from 2:00-8:00 pm also at The Church of Jesus Christ. Burial at Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso.
