Sidney L. Tucker, age 86 of Hobart passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2015. He was born on August 16, 1928 to the late Delbert and Nellie Tucker. He served his country in the U.S. Army in the Korean war. Sidney was a Hobart resident since 1970 and was formerly of Gary. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1988 and was a member of St. Stephens Episcopal Church in Hobart. He also served as President, Vice President and Treasurer for LCAR. Sidney loved camping.

He is survived by his wife, Tomoko Tucker of Hobart, IN; three sons, Larry Tucker of Hobart, IN; Donald Tucker of Hobart, IN; and John Tucker of Highland, IN; 1 brother, Edward (Dorothy) Tucker of Mishawaka, IN; and one daughter-in-law, Pam Tucker of Lake Station, IN.

He was preceded in death by his infant son, Terry Tucker.

Funeral services are Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart with Rev. John Blakslee officiating. Cremation will follow with Rees Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Visitation is Friday, April 17, 2015 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a 6:30 pm VFW service at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel.
