Sonny Stevens

Sonny Stevens, age 46, of Hobart passed away at Franciscan Heath, Crown Point on Tuesday January 5, 2021.  Sonny was born May 27, 1974 in Houston, Texas to the late Rocco and Margie (Peterson) Stevens.  Sonny was an independent asphalt contractor.  Sonny was an avid Cubs and the Chicago Bulls fan.  He also had interests in playing softball, fishing with his daughter and the casino.

Sonny is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Melissa of Hobart; beloved daughter, Kayli who lives at home; two sisters, Sherri Stevens and Toni (Popeye) Stevens of Hobart; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jerry Stevens.

Visitation will be Friday January 8, 2021 from 10 am to 9 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Winfield Chapel 10909 Randolph Street Winfield/Crown Point, Indiana 46307.  Funeral services will be Saturday 10 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery Portage, Indiana.  ***Due to Covid-19 restrictions attendance must be limited to 25 attendees at one time.  Social distancing is required along with FACEMASKS must be worn.***
