Stanley William Haines

Age 64, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at VNA Hospice in Valparaiso surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 25, 1949 to Stanley and Irene (nee Cenko) Haines in Gary, Indiana. On March 28, 1970 Stanley married the love of his life Norma June Scott in Niles Michigan. Stanley proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was a millwright for Mittal. He was a member of American Legion Post 502 and Sundowners Model Airplane Club. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend.
Stanley is survived by his wife of 43 years, Norma of Valparaiso, son Steven (Tammy) Haines of North Judson, daughter, Dawn (Joe Shaffer) Haines of La Porte, mother, Irene Haines of Valparaiso, brother, Glenn (Sheila) Haines of Chesterton, sister Nannette (Bill) Kucek of Valparaiso, four grandchildren Samantha (Brock) Townsend, Ashley, Richard and Tiffany Shelby, numerous nieces and nephews and other loving family members and friends.
Stanley was preceded in death by his father Stanley W. Haines Sr.
In lieu of flowers donations to Horton VNA Hospice in Valparaiso would be appreciated.
A funeral service for Stanley will be Monday, December 30, 2013 at 10:00 am at Rees Funeral Home- Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage, Indiana 46368.
