Stanley B. Klevickas, age 82, of Portage passed away Friday November 11, 2016 at his home. Stanley was born August 25, 1934 in Gary, Indiana to the late Joseph and Frances (Margis) Klevickas. He was a machinist that retired from US Steel and a former Civil Defense Officer in Portage. Stanley enjoyed collecting coins, playing chess and soduko, and hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed feeding the geese and wildlife near his home. He was a former assistant Scout Master of Pack 20 and member of the Knights of Columbus.

Stanley is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Leona (Nee Winkowski) Klevickas; two sons, Stosh J. (Angie) Klevickas of Valparaiso and Bernard James (Colleen Deery) Klevickas of New York City, NY; three grandchildren, Clara, Ella and Cash; many nieces and nephews and his special friend and sidekick Heidi.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Joseph Anthony Klevickas and one sister Sophie Hallett.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 am Wednesday November 16, 2016 at Nativity of Our Savior Catholic Church, 2949 Willowcreek Road, Portage, IN 46368 with Rev. Andrew Corona officiating. Burial will follow in Calumet Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 pm Tuesday at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel 5341 Central Ave. Portage, IN and from 9-10 am at the church.

Memorial donations may be directed to St Mary Medical Center in Hobart, Indiana.
