Stanley L. Laskovich "Stan the Man", age 65 of Hobart passed away Sunday, December 28, 2014. He was born on February 16, 1949 in Gary, Indiana to the late Emil and Ruby (Faulkner) Laskovich. On October 11, 1980 he married Barbara Minch in Hobart. Stan was a retired truck driver at U.S. Steel in Gary, Indiana. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards and watching Nascar. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara of Hobart, IN; son, Stanley Laskovich Jr. in Lawrenceville, Illinois; daughter, Cyndi Friedrich of Portage; brother, Michael (Deborah) Laskovich of Valparaiso; six grandchildren, Anthony and Amanda Buono, Adam and Allison Friedrich, Ronnie Rhodes and Dillon Kelly, many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and other loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Bryan Buono.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana 46342. Burial at Calvary Cemetery, Portage.
