Stella Kolczak (nee Wojciechowski), age 94 of Hobart, IN passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2010. She was born in Buffalo, New York on June 30, 1916. She was a longtime member of Assumption BVM Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter, parents, Anthony and Mary Wojciechowski and brother Casimer Wojcehowski.

She is survived by 2 sons, Walter "Sam" (Vi) Kolczak of Hobart, IN; Edward (Darlene) Kolczak of Portage, IN; 3 grandchildren, Dannette (Chris) Roberts of Indianapolis, IN; Daneane (Kevin) Pierce, and Jason Kolczak both of TX; 4 great-grandchildren, Hayden and Haley Pierce, and Kaelyn, and Christian Roberts, 2 sisters-in-law, Estelle Wojcehowski of Hobart, IN; Mary Nowicki of FL; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Stella's Honor may be made to the VNA of Porter County.

Visitation will be on Saturday, September 11, 2010 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road. Funeral services are Saturday beginning with 10:30 a.m. prayers and proceeding to Assumption BVM Church for an 11 a.m. mass of Christian burial with Rev. Jon J. Plavcan officiating.
