Stella Shuler, age 88, of Hobart passed away Friday January 19, 2024. She was born February 9, 1935, in Gary, Indiana to the late Alex and Mary (nee Zoladz) Krzyzak. Stella raised two loving children. She was Polish National Catholic and sang in the choir at Our Savior in New Chicago. Stella enjoyed bowling, gardening, and babysitting her grandchildren. She would often have pizza delivered to Father Lou Pasala. Stella will be remembered for her kind heart and generosity to everybody she met. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

She is survived by her son, Tom Shuler; her daughter Gloria (Jim) Noonan; her grandsons, Sean Noonan and Kyle Noonan; her brother, John Krzyzak; and her sister, Reggina Wilkerson.

Stella is preceded by her husband, Thomas Shuler; her parents, Alex and Mary; her sister, Ceil Trojanowski; and her brothers, Alex Krzyzak and Walter Krzyzak.

A memorial mass will be held at Assumption BVM Catholic Church at a later date.
