Stephanie Grummer Hicks

Stephanie Lynn Hicks (nee Grummer), age 49, passed away Monday, November 22, 2021.  She was born in East Chicago, Indiana on April 13, 1972 to Hubert and Kathleen (nee Rushin) Grummer.  Stephanie loved music, crocheting, dogs, watching the Chicago Cubs, and she was an avid Star Wars fan.  She will be remembered as a loving mother, wife, daughter, sister and will be missed by all.

Stephanie is survived by her son, Peyton (Kirsten Thomas) Hicks; husband, Scott Hicks; pretty princess, Leia; mother, Kathleen Grummer; sister, Carrie (Ed) Cook; niece, Brianna "Girlie"; nephew, Brady; uncle, John (Barbara) Rushin; cousins, Aaron Rushin; Alysson Rushin; and an infinite number of friends, family, and outlaws.

She was preceded in death by her father, Hubert Paul Grummer, Jr.

Visitation will take place Friday, December 3, 2021 at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave. Portage, IN 46368 from 2-7 pm with a funeral service at 5:00 pm with Rev. Jacob McDaniel officiating.
