Stephen "Duck" "Cheese" Levenson, age 65, of Miller Beach passed away Tuesday September 9, 2014 in his home. Steve was born March 5, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Harry and Tillie (Davis) Levenson. Steve was a Steelworker that retired from Arcelor Mittal (Bethlehem) Steel. Steve loved golfing and was a member of the Gary Rugby Club and the Sons of the American Legion at the Miller Post.

Steve is survived by his loving wife Linda (Azcona) Levenson; three sons Stephen William Levenson of New York, NY, Christopher (Liz) Levenson of Portage and Jason Levenson of Hobart; one daughter Lisa (John) Vucko of Hobart; eight grandchildren Daniel, Max, Dante, Alex, Benjamin, Andru, Jaxson and Jessa; one sister Roslyn Pevar of Merrillville; several nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, his twin brother Stuart and his older brother Jerry.

Funeral services will be conducted at 6:00 pm Friday September 12, 2014 at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel 5341 Central Avenue Portage, Indiana with Pastor Bob Burton officiating. Visitation is from 1-6 pm Friday at the funeral home. A memorial luncheon celebration will be held at Noon Saturday September 13, 2014 at the Miller American Legion Post #279 6601 Old Hobart Road Gary, IN.

Memorial gifts may be made to the American Diabetes Association in Steve's Honor.
