STEVEN R. MATHEWS, age 42, a longtime Lake Station resident, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2017. Steven was born on April 6, 1974 in Hammond. He enjoyed fishing and will be remembered as a loving father, son, grandfather, brother and friend.
He is survived by his parents, Glen and Annette Mathews; 4 children, Breeana Rae (Robbie) Hatfield, Trenton, Summer and Jackson Mathews; 2 brothers, Brent and Curtis Mathews; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Steven's children.
A visitation for Steven will be Friday, March 17, 2017 at Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel, 3781 Central Ave., Lake Station, from 2:00 until the time of service at 6:00 p.m. Services will conclude at the funeral home. To share condolences with the family go to www.reesfuneralhomes.com.
