Steven A. Rummell, age 62 of Portage passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on March 19, 1959 in Gary, Indiana. On February 14, 1988 he married Carol Kettwig in Portage. He retired from Dover Chemical Company where he worked mixing chemicals. He was a dedicated member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in South Haven. He was a diehard Cubs fan who had a passion for cooking. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor and ability to make others laugh. He loved his family and cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Rummell; sons, Steven A. (Becky) Rummell, Steven R. Rummell; daughters, Rachel (Moises) Diaz, Christina Rummell, Farrah Dyer; grandchildren, Kaylee, Alyssa, Braydon, Laney, Kensington, Antonio, Angelina, Zechariah, Aaliyah, Isabella, Lilianna, Amelia, Kiley and Chloe; twin brother, Stanley Rummell; sisters, Rita Stasik, Debbie (Larry) Lee.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Mary Kaminski; brother-in-law, Rich Stasik.

Visitation for Steven will be held Tuesday, February 8, 2022 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Emmanuel Baptist Church of South Haven, 760 N McCool Road, Portage, IN 46368. A funeral service will take place Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at 10:00 am at the church. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park in Hobart.
