Sue A. Jones, age 90, a longtime resident of Portage passed away on Monday, July 18, 2011. She was born on September 7, 1920 in Coatesville, Pennsylvania the daughter of William and Ella Keiser. Sue married Jack P. Jones on June 2, 1946 in Gary, Indiana. Sue was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Portage. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and a dear friend to all.
Sue is survived by her loving family; son Jack W. Jones, Portage, daughter Deborah Witte, Union Mills, and grandson Matthew Witte, Wanatah, and other loving family and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Jack P. Jones.
A visitation for Sue A. Jones will be held from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at Rees Funeral Home – Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, July 22, 2011 at Hope Lutheran Church, 6322 Portage Avenue, Portage, with Reverend Phillip Lepak, officiating.
