Susan Jeanette Phipps

Age 61, of Valparaiso passed away September 11,2023 at her home. She was born on February 2, 1962, in Joliet, Illinois to the late Wesley Dean and Mary Lucille (nee Moss) Phipps. Susan worked most of her life working at many restaurants as a waitress. Susan enjoyed dancing and listening to music, arts, crafts, and watching soap operas. Susan loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She met her fiancé playing pool and she beat him and stole his heart.  Susan will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, fiancé, and friend.

She is survived by her two sons, David Rodriguez, and Billy Rodriguez; daughter, Samantha Rodriguez; seven grandchildren, Veronica, Audrianna, Jahcell, Toney, Evangelyne, Brayden and Bryson; fiancé, Willis Cook; two sisters, Glinda S. Combs, and Tracy (Paul) Jamrock; many nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Debra A Blotnicki.
