Susanne Sally Hackleman, nee Pruznak, was born in Gary, Indiana on November 13, 1950 to Michael James Pruznak and Susanne Anne Hamara. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity in Gary. She went to Lew Wallace High School . She was a member of Blessed Sacrament , Gary, Indiana until its closure , and then, St. Francis Xavier Church. She worked at Glen Park Bakery, Kodak in Lake Station, Speedway Gas Stations and was a Post-Tribune carrier during her working years. She married John Roger Hackleman on September 20, 1969. She left this life to join her Lord on March 3, 2012 in East Chicago, Indiana. She loved to bowl and play bingo, as well as the board game trouble. She enjoyed many hours walking around the park, fishing, going to museums and shopping. She was a music and movie buff and enjoyed John Wayne and Gregory Peck movies the best. She was a devoted mother, wife, grandmother and sister to her family. She has left to survive her: two sons, John Roger (Sabrina) Hackleman of Portage, Indiana, and Michael Christopher (Rebecca) Hackleman of Hobart, Indiana. One brother, Andrew (Jackie) Pruznak of Lafayette, Indiana. She had three grandsons, three granddaughters, John Hackleman, III of Portage; Peter, Sam, Kelly, Jessica Domijancic, and Katie (Dominic) Kozub of Hobart. She had three great grandsons and a great grand-daughter. She had many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Susanne Pruznak, brother Michael Pruznak, husband, John R. Hackleman, Sr. and her sister, Baby Michella Pruznak.
Memorial visitation is Saturday, March 10, 2012 from 11 a.m. to 12 30 p.m. at the Impact Christian Church, 401 82nd place, Merrillville, Indiana. A memorial service will follow at 12:30 p.m. at the church with a luncheon to follow.
