Suzette H. Hesford, age 90, of Lake Station, passed away Friday, December 30, 2016 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 24, 1926 in Gary, Indiana to the late John and Rosemarie Koritko. On July 29, 1944, she married the love of her life, Clyde Hesford, who preceded her in death in 1997. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hobart and the Hobart Eagles. She will always be remembered as a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and friend to those who love her.

She is survived by her daughters, Diane (Les) Salzman, Doreen (James) Pope; son, Clyde (Sharon) Hesford, Jr.; grandchildren, Leslie (Melissa) Salzman, Jr., Denise (David) Fairhead, Brian Salzman, Christine (James) Myers, James Pope, Kelly Hesford, Amanda Hesford; great grandchildren, Samantha, Starr, Waylon, and Cordelia; sisters, Therese "Teddy" (John) Thomas, Patricia Hepner, Donna Lines; and many loving nieces, nephews and other family members.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde; brothers, John, Edward and Thomas Koritko; and sister, Dorothea Morris.

A funeral service for Suzette will take place Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at 10:00 am at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart with Rev. Rebecca Smith officiating. She will be laid to rest at Evergreen Memorial Park in Hobart. Visitation will be held Monday, January 2, 2017 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
