Sybil J. Chandler (nee Lindsey), age 87, of Hobart, passed away on Friday, April 1, 2022, surrounded by her family. Sybil was born on September 7, 1934, in Middleton, Tennessee to the late Rephus B. and Minnie Leora (nee Trull) Lindsey. Sybil married the love of her life, Garry C. Chandler, on July 5, 1952, and they spent 43 loving years together until Garry passed in 1995. In her younger years, she hosted a radio show called Sybil's Tea Party. She also enjoyed singing, playing the piano and guitar.  Sybil retired from Anco, where she worked as a machinist for 22 yrs. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Sybil is survived by her son, Mike (Mary) Chandler; daughter, Julie A. (Gerry) Wojcehowski; sister, Lois Roy; five grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and other loving family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Garry C. Chandler; her four brothers, Carl, R.B, Richard and Lewis Lindsey, and sister, Doris Elliott. A funeral service for Sybil will be held Friday, April 8, 2022, at 10:00 am with Richard Huber officiating at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana 46342. Burial at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville.  A visitation will be held Thursday. April 7, 2022, from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel.
