Sylvia Jane Sickles, age 69, of Hobart, Indiana and formerly of Runa, West Virginia, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2014. She was born on December 11, 1945 in Runa, West Virginia to Logan and Nettie Moore. Sylvia was retired from US Steel. In her free time, she enjoyed doing quiltwork, gardening, geneology and going to garage sales.

Sylvia is survived by her husband, Donald Sickles of Hobart; son, Michael McClung of Chesterton; step sons, Don (Marlayna) Sickles of Valparaiso, Derek Sickles of Hammond, David (Michelle) Sickles of Valparaiso; step grandchildren, Maddisyn Sickles, Dylan Sickles, Anthony Sickles, Ava Sickles; step great granddaughter, Brooklyn Sickles; brothers, Ray (Ann) Moore of Pool, WV, Ralph (Wanda) Moore of Runa, WV, Glenn (Betty) Moore of Pool, WV, Kenneth Moore of Runa, WV, Ronald Gene Moore of Runa, WV, Jerrell (Nancy) Moore of Valparaiso; sisters, Juanita (Jimmy) Drennen of Bellevue, OH, Frances (Junior) Nutter of Brookville, OH, Cheryl Burlovich of Sandusky, OH; numerous loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Logan and Nettie Moore; brother, James Moore.

To honor Sylvia's wishes, burial of cremains will take place at a later date at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Runa, West Virginia. There will be no services.
