Tami Renee Jakich

Tami Renee Jakich, age 43, of Merrillville ended her courageous battle with cancer on Thursday February 6, 2014 at St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart. Tami was born October 18, 1970 in Gary, Indiana to Robert and Donna (Hobson) Jakich, Sr. She was a homemaker, mother and loving companion. Tami loved her family and friends and will be greatly missed.

Tami is survived by her loving daughter Robin Jakich of Merrillville; fiancé Robert Wright of Merrillville; her mother Donna Jakich of Merrillville; seven brothers Bill (Debbie) Martin of Leon, WV, Jeff Martin of Eleanor, WV, Robert Jakich, Jr. of Gary, Richard Jakich of Wheatfield, Ron Jakich of Gary, Kevin Jaki of Wheatfield and David (Michelle) Derr of Crown Point; many nieces and nephews.

Tami was preceded in death by her father Robert Jakich, Sr. and grandparents Patrick and Freda Gambon.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 pm Thursday February 13, 2014 at Rees Funeral Home 600 W. Old Ridge Road Hobart, IN 46342. Visitation will be Thursday from 2 pm until the time of services at 7 pm. Cremation will follow.
