TERRENCE W. MOTE, age 61, of Union Mills, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2011 at University of Chicago Hospital. He was born in Hammond, IN on November 30, 1950 to Marvin and Betty Lou Mote. Terrence retired from Inland Steel as a millwright in 2009. He was a member of the Masonic F & A.M. Lodge No. 41 and the Local 1010. Terrence enjoyed hunting, fishing, antique cars, and he loved his dogs. He will be missed dearly.

Terrence Mote is survived by his wife of over 20 years, Jackie (nee Baron) of Union Mills; 5 children, Andy (Melinda) of Chesterton, Aaron (Jill) of Porter, Amy of Valparaiso, Richie (Kim) of Cridersville, OH, Mikie of Union Mills; 5 grandchildren, Ashley, Emily, Jeremiah, Elizabeth, and Hunter; 2 sisters, Sue (Ed) Harrison of Munster and Patty (Tom) Lacey of CA; other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service for Terrence will be Thursday, December 22, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart with Deacon Dale Walsh officiating. Burial will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery.
