TERRENCE R. WEBBER, age 70, of Portage, passed away Saturday, September 22, 2012 at the Horton VNA Hospice Center inValparaiso. Terrence had been a Portage area resident and was a US Army Veteran. He retired from US Steel, Sheet & Tin Mill and was a member of the National American Legion. Terrence enjoyed riding his Gold Wing Motorcycle, fishing, watching his granddaughter, Alexandra, play softball and granddaughter, Olivia, play soccer. He also enjoyed visiting the concession stands.
Terrence is survived by his wife, Sandra Webber, son, Steve (Tracy) Webber of Georgia, step-sons, ,Michael (Jennifer) Hansen of Ogden Dunes and Eric (Tina) Hansen of Valparaiso, 2 granddaughters, Alexandra Hansen of Japan and Olivia Hansen of Valparaiso, 2 brothers, Thomas W. (Linda) Webber of Hebron, William (Debbie) Webber III of Arizona, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, William H. Webber, Jr. and Florence Webber, brother, Dennis R. Webber and wife, Barbara Webber. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the VNA Hospice.
Private graveside services were held on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Hobart. Arrangements were handled by Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, (219) 762-3013 or online at
