Terry Lee Bennett, II, age 43, of Portage passed away Thursday October 12, 2023, at Northwest Health-Portage. Terry was born June 18, 1980, in Merrillville, Indiana to Terry and Sheryll (Trager) Bennett. Terry was an automobile mechanic that had worked for Bosak Toyota. He loved Classic Rock Music, Horror Movies, and collecting baseball cards. Halloween was his favorite holiday. But most of all he loved his three dogs and cat.

Terry is survived by his loving wife, Amy Bennett of Portage; his mother, Sheryll Bennett of Hobart; his aunt, Carla May of Kansas City, MO; his uncle, Bruce Spoljaric of Wheeler; his brother-in-law, Adam (Jennifer) Duran of Indianapolis; many cousins and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his father and many more beloved relatives.

A memorial visitation will be held from 2-6 pm Tuesday October 17, 2023, at Rees Funeral Home 600 West Old Ridge Road Hobart, Indiana 46342. A memorial service will follow immediately at 6 pm with Rev. Charles Strietelmeier officiating.

Memorial gifts may be directed to the Humane Society of Northwest Indiana in lieu of flowers.
