Terry G. Burch, age 77, of Portage, passed away Friday, January 19, 2018 at Porter Regional Hospital.  He was born in Worthington, Indiana on October 20, 1940 to Glenn and Kathryn (nee Kiser) Burch.  Terry was a United States Navy veteran and later retired from Nipsco where he worked in the construction department for 32 years.  He was a former member of the 1 ^st Christian Church in Lake Station where he served as a deacon and was a current member of the South Haven Christian Church.  Terry's second home was at the Portage Little League fields where he coached and managed for 12 years.  He was a member of the auxiliary at the VFW Post #9323 in Lake Station.  Terry enjoyed going to all his grandchildren's games and will be remembered as a helping man who would do anything for anyone without expecting anything in return.

Terry is survived by his mother, Kathryn Burch; loving wife of 53 years, Shirley (nee Clarida) Burch; son, Terry "Mike" (Annette Berry) Burch; daughter, Melissa (David) Adams; grandchildren, Rebecca, Brianna, Brittany, Casey, Cameron; and brothers, Tommy (Phyllis) Burch, Larry Burch.

He was preceded in death by his father, Glenn Burch.

Memorial contributions may be made, in Terry's honor, to the American Heart Association or to the South Haven Christian Church.
