Terrance Hoernig

August 1, 1959 – May 9, 2025

Terrance Hoernig, of Knox, passed away on May 9, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on August 1, 1959, he was preceded in death by his parents, James and Rosellen Hoernig, and his son, Dustin Keaton Sr.

Terrance proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1978 to 1988. He carried the strength, discipline, and dedication of a Marine throughout his life.

He is survived by his wife Marsha Hoernig his children Krystle Hoernig, Donnie Keaton, Katherine Hoernig, and David Hoernig; and his grandchildren Dustin Jr., Cameron, Josie, Dominick, Drita, Dmitri, Mateo, and Gage, his brothers Timothy (Pamela) Hoernig, George Hoernig, Patrick (Lynn) Hoernig, and Bryan Hoernig; his sisters Judy (Shannon) Pitchford and Bethanne (Gregg) Smith.

Terrance was a lifelong fan of Chicago sports, especially the Cubs and Bears. He will be remembered for his hard work ethic and quiet demeanor.

Visitation for Terrance will be held Saturday, June 7, 2025 from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart. Military honors will take place at 5:00 pm.
