Terry Alan Pappas

Terry Alan Pappas, of Chesterton formerly of Portage and Gary, passed away Monday, July 6, 2026. He was born to the late Thomas A. Pappas Sr. and Dorothy E. Pappas. Terry served his country in Vietnam in the U.S. Army. He worked for Midwest Steel and was formerly the Union President of Local 6103. Terry enjoyed working around the house and working on cars. He also loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Rita Pappas of Chesterton, IN; two sons, Michael Pappas of Portage, IN; Tom (Julie) Pappas of Chesterton, IN; one daughter, Cindy (Beau) Swenson of Manhattan Beach, CA; two sisters-in-law, Donna Pappas of Portage, IN; Joanne Shadrix of Portage, IN; six grandchildren, Riley, Lauren, Trent, Terry, Victoria, and Roman, and one great grandchild, Cyrus.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas A. Pappas, Jr.

Cremation was entrusted to Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel. All services were private.
