Terry L. Posavac

Terry Posavac age 72, of Valparaiso, passed away April 24, 2024, at Northwest Regional Hospital. He was born on July 8, 1951, in Gary, Indiana, to the late Louis and Gertrude (nee Lach) Posavac. Terry was a member of Nativity of Our Savior Catholic Church and proudly served his country in the United States Army. Terry met the love of his life Kim In- Suk while he was stationed in Korea on September 8, 1973, he married her, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church and they spent 49 years together until her passing in 2022. Terry retired from US Steel, where he worked in the machine shop as a machinist. He was an avid Chicago sports fan and loved to golf when he was able.

Terry is survived by his two sons Joseph (Kathy) Posavac and Terry Posavac, Jr., grandchildren, Vivienne, Evette, Tyler, Samuel, and Benjamin; sister, Kathy (John) Tabor; brother, Michael Posavac and many other loving family and friends.

Terry was preceded in death by his wife, Kim (nee In-Suk) Posavac; his parents; brother, Bill Posavac and sister, Mary Criswell ,

Visitation for Terry will take place Sunday, May 5, 2024, from 2:00-8:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana 46342. Mass of Christian Burial will take place directly at Our Lady of Sorrow Catholic Church, 356 W 700 N Valparaiso at 10:00am on Monday, May 6, 2024.
