Thelma F. Conrad (nee Langley), age 98 of Hobart passed away Thursday, October 10, 2013. She was born on June 23, 1915 in Tuscola, Illinois. She was a member of the Highland Community of Christ Church. She was a longtime Hobart resident. Upon retirement Thelma and her husband, Lowell, moved to Land O' Lakes, Wisconsin where they lived for 28 years. She served in numerous positions for the Land O' Lakes Library. Thelma enjoyed making ceramics, sewing, making candles, and many other crafts.

She is survived by 1 daughter, Susan (late Edward) Burney of Valparaiso, IN; 5 grandchildren, Kevin (Laura) Burney, Ryan (Anne) Burney, Gary Conrad II, Shelly (Bob) Rohde, Krista Melvin, and 13 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Genell, her husband, Lowell Conrad, 1 son, Gary Conrad, and 1 brother, Dale Langley.

There will be a memorial service on Monday, October 14, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart. Memorial visitation is Monday just prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel. Cremation will take place with Rees Funeral Home and Cremation service.
