Theodore Michael Bilyak, Sr., age 75, of Hobart, passed away August 28, 2015 while surrounded by his family. He was born on February 13, 1940 in Gary. Ted retired from the Hobart Post Office after many years of service. He will be missed by his family and friends.

Ted is survived by his wife of 50 years, Patricia (nee Coleman); sons, Theodore M. (Pam) Bilyak, Jr. of Hammond, Michael (Becky) Bilyak of Portage; grandchildren, Christina, Andrew and Rachel Bilyak; granddaughter, Brooke Csikos; sister, Mary Ann Nagy; brother, William; brothers-in-law, Donald (Joyce) Coleman of Valparaiso and Robert (Linda) Coleman of Hobart; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Ann Bilyak; brother, Milan; niece, Rebecca Nagy.

A funeral service for Ted will be Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd. Fr. William Conjelko, Protopresbyter, Pastor of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Kankakee, IL, will be officiating. Burial will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery.
