THERESA A. VODE, age 69, of Hobart, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2019.  She was born in Gary on October 11, 1949 to the late William and Shirlee Mackowiak.  Theresa was a graduate of Lew Wallace and a member of the Glen Park Eagles.  For many years she worked as a baker at Wiseway.  Theresa will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

She is survived by her sons, Stephen (Melissa) Vode, III and David Vode; 4 grandchildren, Emilee, Jacob, Zachary and Livia Vode; 3 sisters, Diana Mason, Glenda Farrow and Mary (Kevin) Parsons; brother-in-law, Mickey (Denise) Vode; sisters-in-law, Denise Vode and Sharon Vode; longtime friend, Linda Vode; dear friends Ray and Beth Morales; many nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces and other loving family and friends.

Theresa was also preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Vode in 2017; and brother, Danny Mackowiak.
