Thomas D. Dixon, age 80, of Portage, passed away Monday, July 23, 2018. He was born on July 10, 1938 to the late Dale and Ruth Dixon. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. Tom was an avid sports fan. His favorite teams were the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears and Indiana University.

He is survived by many cousins, Robert Byrd, Donald Byrd, Michelle Dickey, Robert J. Byrd, Wendy (Patrick ) Leeming, Craig (Denise) Dragash, Austin Leeming, Kaylee Leeming, Casey Byrd, Vaughn Dragash, Aaron Hanson, Abbey Hanson, Hannah Wentz, Sophia Dickey and Delilah Hanson; longtime close friend, Larry Spurlock.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Ruth Dixon; and one brother, Billy Dixon.

Per Tom's wishes, there will be no services. Burial of cremains will take place in a private service at Fairlawn Cemetery in Kentland, Indiana.
