Thomas Jalovecky Sr.

Age 79 of Lake Station passed away Sunday, November 7, 2021. He was born on December 28,1941 in Hammond, Indiana to the late Joseph and Marie (nee Pucalik) Jalovecky.  On January 19, 1963, he married the love of his life, Cynthia (nee Kurzeja) Jalovecky in Hammond, Indiana. Thomas retired from LTV Steel mill where he worked as a Train Operator. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, and spending time with his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his wife of 58 years., Cynthia Jalovecky, five children, Jay (Debbie) Jalovecky, Dale (Mary McClung) Jalovecky, Sherri (Randy) Dujmovich, Thomas Jr. (Kimmy) Jalovecky and Niki (Ramon) Bazaldua; ten grandchildren, Greg, Krystal, Ashley, Alex (Sierra), Noah (Zoe), Julia (Blake), Hunter, Hailey, Erin and Ryan; eight great-grandchildren, Jarek, Donovan, Lilliana, Paige, Miles, Landyn, Gavin and Maverick; brother, Dennis (Rosemarie) Jalovecky; his fur baby, Piper and many other loving family members and friends.  He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Mandy, his parents, and sister, Jackie Toweson. In lieu of flowers donations to Thomas's family would be appreciated. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 12, 2021, at 7pm at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel 5341 Central Ave. Portage, Indiana 46368. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until the time of service, also at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel.
