Thomas E. Jeffers

Thomas E. Jeffers, age 84 of LaPorte passed away Friday, June 28, 2024. He was born on April 30, 1940, in Buffalo, West Virginia to the late Neal and Mildred Jeffers. On July 15, 1959, he married Henrietta Hackney in Lebanon, Virginia. Tom retired from US Steel after twenty years of working as a roll turner. He then went on to work for Union Electric for another twenty years. In his free time, he liked to play golf, fish and do woodworking.

He is survived by his daughter, Brenda (Darrell) Stewart; grandchildren, Amanda (Zack) Pucher, Matthew Bissonnette, Taylor Bissonnette, Jacob Stewart, Abigail Stewart, Ashley Stewart, Gavin Stewart; three great grandchildren, Ayla, Harley, and Savannah; brother, John (Clara) Jeffers; sisters, Betty (Kenny) Longstreth, and Susie Corder; many loving nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Neal and Mildred Jeffers; his beloved wife, Henrietta Jeffers; and his son, Robert Jeffers.
