Thomas R. Pyke, age 58 of Portage passed away Monday, September 9, 2013. He was born on December 29, 1954 in Evanston, Illinois to the late John F. and Georgeann A. Pyke. Thomas was a former resident of Berwyn, Illinois and had worked as a Tennis Pro and also a Police Dispatcher. He loved all sports, landscaping and carpentry.
He is survived by his wife, Mingui Chen of Portage, IN; brothers and sister, John Pyke of Glenview, IL; Judy Pyke of Chicago, IL; Steve Pyke of Glenview, IL; Daniel (Kelly) Pyke of Ivanhoe, IL; nieces and nephews, Brittany, Bradley, Nicole, Kristin, Caitlyn, Taylor, and Aiden.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 12, 2013 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage. Cremation will follow with Rees Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Call (219) 762-3013 or visit us online at www.Reesfuneralhomes.com.
