Thomas J. Spencer, age 67, of Valparaiso passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2026. He was born on November 24, 1958, in Valparaiso, Indiana to Randall and Betty Spencer. On October 5, 1985, he married Carla Waters at the First Christian Church of Valparaiso. Tom retired from Home Mountain Printing where he worked as a prepress technician. He was an avid fan of all Chicago sports teams, especially the Cubs and the Bears. He was also a big fan of Indiana University…Go Big Red! Tom loved to cook whether he was displaying his grilling skills while volunteering for his daughter's Union Township softball team or making Christmas breakfast for family and special neighbors. He was an amazing father and will always be remembered for his gentle nature.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Carla Spencer; daughter, Andi (Michael) Shaw; grandsons, Jameson and Logan Shaw; brother, Larry (Joan) Spencer; sister-in-law, Chris Foltz; brothers-in-law, Carl (Leslie) Waters, Jim (Vicki) Waters; special neighbors, Tim and Lori Goldie; several nieces, nephews and many loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Ashley Nicole Spencer; his father, Randall Spencer; mother and stepfather, Betty and Heinie Marquart; and brother-in-law, Paul Foltz.
