Thomas C. "Tommy" Pieszchala, age 66, of Portage and a lifetime Northwest Indiana resident passed away Friday, August 14, 2020. He was born on April 23, 1954 in Hammond, Indiana to the late Andrew and Mary Ann Pieszchala.   Tom served his country in the U.S Marine Corps and the U.S Army. He was a member of American Legion Post 260 of Portage.   He enjoyed starting home improvement projects.  Tom loved children and will be remembered by his family for his goofy sense of humor and his dad jokes.

He is survived by three children, Kim (Billy) Robinson of Katy, TX; Jessica (Eric) Buhle of Gales Ferry, CT; Derek (Megan) McDermott of Portage, IN; three brothers, Frank (Norma) Pieszchala of SC; Andy (Kat) Pieszchala of NH; Paul (Nancy) Pieszchala of Lowell, IN; two sisters, Nancy (Jorge) Miranda of Cicero, IL; Judy Leverenz of Wooddale, IL; 6 grandchildren, Jeremy, Savanah (Austin), Colton, Derek Jr., Declan, and Skylinn.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Diane Pieszchala in 2014.
