TIMOTHY B. BARTZ, 62, of DeMotte, passed away Sunday, February 3, 2013 at St. Anthony Hospital in Crown Point. Timothy had been a lifelong Northwest Indiana resident and was a graduate of Hobart High School in 1968. He attended Vincennes University and was a graduate of Purdue Calumet in 1999. He was employed in the dietary department at St. Anthony in Crown Point for many years. Tim was formerly a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. He was a member of Knights of Columbus St. Clement Council #3283 and Santa Maria Venegas 4th Degree Assembly.
He is survived by his cousin/god-son, Terry (Colleen) Clark of DeMotte. His parents, William & Anna (nee Harrington) Bartz and brother, Terrance J. Bartz, preceded him in death.
There will be a memorial service Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart, with Deacon Joe Van Schepen officiating. Friends may call from 12:00 noon until 1:00 pm immediately prior to the service. The Knights of Columbus will pray the rosary on Saturday at 12:00 noon.
