Charles Thomas Parrott "Bird", age 71, of Hobart and formerly of Hazelcrest, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2019. He was born on January 11, 1948 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Thomas and Charlotte. Tom proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed as a clerk for the University of Illinois, Chicago. Tom belonged to the VFW Post #5365 and the American Legion Post #54 in Hobart. He will always be remembered as a loving and devoted son, brother, uncle and friend.

He is survived by his mother, Charlotte A. McRoberts; sisters, Mary (Fred) Camp, Cheryl (Joe) Etheridge, Barbara (Nicholas) Bajovich; brother, Ronnie (Lacy) Parrott; many loving nieces and nephews; and dear friend, Noreen Collins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Frederick Parrott; brothers, Greg Parrott, Joe Kunkel; and sister, Kim Foster.

A funeral service for Tom will take place Friday, October 25, 2019 at 5:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart.
